There is so much I could say about this wedding- the beautiful venue, amazing details, yummy food...but the thing that has resonated with me most looking back is the way Joe looked at Erin. Of course, she was stunning (that dress!), but no one could deny the excitement in Joe's face as he counted down the minutes until they were finally married. It was what every girl dreams of! Such a beautiful day- full of wonderful people. I'll share some of Erin & Joe's commentary looking back on this post.

P.S. I couldn't narrow my favorites down any more than this. I hope you have a minute, dear blog-reader. :)

What was the most memorable moment about your day?

Erin: To name one memorable moment out of the entire day is almost impossible, because almost every second of that day was filled with love and memories. From the women in my life surrounding me while I got into my dress to my daddy crying as he prayed over Joe and I when he gave me away. But the most memorable moment had to be the look on Joe's face at our first look moment. It was so sweet and perfect. All the anxious and antsy feelings just disappeared. Plus, it didn't hurt that my man looked pretty stinkin' handsome! Another moment I loved though, for our family, was sneaking away from the reception with Rylee and Joe to go feed and pet the horses on the property. It was such a fun time to have with just us 3.

Joe: Well, I have two moments, because there is no way to choose just one. First, our first look. When I finally got to see Erin, I got emotional. She looked absolutely gorgeous and I could not wait to marry her. Second, when the doors opened and Erin walked down the aisle. It was one of those moments that I will never forget.

Erin gave Joe the "husband list" she made- such a perfect gift for their wedding day!

Favorite wedding purchase?

Erin: My favorite purchase was my wedding dress. I went into the boutique and had something totally different in mind and after working with an amazing consultant, walked out purchasing the first dress I tried on. The vintage feel to my lace dress was perfection and not only fit the wedding, but ended up being everything I ever wanted. Not only did I fall in love with it, but during a Bridal show in January, I won VIP passes to meet Randy Fenoli from "Say Yes to the Dress". When he asked to see my dress, he told me that it was perfect and that it was exactly what he would have chosen for me and for the feel of my wedding! It was one of my favorite moments from the whole wedding planning process!

How awesome is Erin's "naked" wedding cake? It was delicious, too! And the Lemonade bar was genius. They had regular lemonade and you could scoop whatever flavor of crushed fruit you wanted into it.

During the reception we snuck away for a few portraits of their new family. Miss Rylee and my son, Knox, are only a few weeks apart...we are working on the arranged marriage. :)

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Erin: Completely enjoy the day. Don't let the little things bother you, because something WILL go wrong. And more times than not, you're the only one who even knew! Just be together and enjoy the love that surrounds all those little moments.

Congrats you two!

"I've missed you so much today."

That's what I'll remember from Casey and Kelsey's wedding. Yes, it was beautiful- full of unique details and gorgeous people, but the thing I'll remember most is the genuine, loving connection between Casey and Kelsey. The longer I got to hang around these two, the more I realized that they were both people of the highest quality- and that their love for each other was developed out of a friendship they never wanted to end.

When it was time for their first look, this was the first thing Kelsey said. She'd noticed that Casey had refrained from calling or texting her until that moment- and I think it made their first look extra special. They were finally together- ready to make this commitment!

Their wedding and reception was held at The Legacy and was serviced by some of the best vendors in the area. Here are a few of my favorite images, along with some reflections from Kelsey.

Venue: The Legacy

Event Design: Southern Elegance

Wedding Gown: Brides (Amarillo)

Makeup: Bobbi Brown

Personal Florals: Petals (Plainview, TX)

Kelsey wore her grandmother's rings and carried her handkerchief, pictured on the left.

"He still hasn't texted me today..."

This was Kelsey realizing she was about to see her future hubby-

Both notes their first look as the most memorable of the day.

Kelsey: So, so very special for us. I loved it! It took the pressure off before the wedding and we got to hangout before for a little bit. It was fun!

Casey: When my bride walked down the aisle I was so excited to see her that I kissed her before I was supposed to.

I really feel that this pear tree blossomed just for them that day-

Going over her vows...

These guys wrote some of the best vows I have ever heard.

The ring bearer lost a tooth at the reception- that means more Tooth Fairy money, right?

Casey's wedding ring is one of the coolest I've ever seen-

Birdseed!

Congratulations you guys! It was truly an honor to photograph your day!

To me, one of the biggest treasures God gives us on this earth is getting to share life together with people, at different times and different stages. It's such an honor for me to get to experience a wedding day with people when I've been a witness to even a small portion of their love story.

John and Alisha were married last month at The Milestone in Denton, Texas- a beautiful new venue. I've known Alisha all my life- the last time I'd seen her was at her cousin's wedding last summer, right before she left for Guatemala to spend a year doing mission work. Yes, you heard that right- this girl planned her wedding from Guatemala!

There's not much I can say about John and Alisha except that they are so, so wonderful together. I'm reminded of God's goodness when I think about their story- and I'm thankful to call them friends!

How gorgeous is this little flower girl?

The guys' getting ready room was complete with an NBA Jam arcade game.

John + Alisha both selected her entrance as the most memorable moment of their day.

Her perspective:

"Walking down the aisle! I was so excited to see John, as far as I was concerned there was not another person in the entire room but him! He looked so handsome and that moment represented so much to me....we had lived in different countries for the last year and had done so much preparing for that moment! I was so excited to become his wife!!!! It was a moment I will never forget!"

His perspective:

"My most memorable moment was everything about the entrance. It was so humbling standing in front of all our friends and family. It was such an overwhelming feeling to know everything that God had done to bring us to that point. When all the bridal party came down, it was amazing seeing each of them and how God had used them to minister to us. Then the doors closed and the anticipation of seeing Alisha was so amazing. We had waited so long for that moment and it was finally about to come. The doors opened and to finally see her was overwhelming. I was overwhelmed with how much God had done in our lives to pursue us and bring us there. She looked absolutely gorgeous. I really cannot explain the emotion I felt to see her so beautiful and her walking towards me knowing that God had loved us so much to bring us to our wedding."

John washed Alisha's feet during the ceremony. It was such a neat picture.

Funniest moment of the day, from Alisha:

"Our pastor told us he was about to announce us husband and wife - I looked at him and said 'already?' - I didn't remember saying our vows so I was really confused how it was already over!"

The decorations and details at the reception were so personal and thought out- there was so much to look at. Alisha said one thing she'd recommend- "We were able to walk around and look at all the details before the wedding. We each walked (separately) through the reception area and got to soak in all the details as well as the entire venue. It made the reception so much more enjoyable because we were able to just enjoy the people and each other and knew we had already gotten to see all the details that we loved so much!"

The table decor incorporated old family photos and even wedding invitations.

The image on the right is of Alisha's grandmother's wedding dress.

Alisha's flower was handmade by my sister- HOUSEofLOVELY
