Gorgeous Kinsey is graduating this May from Texas Tech and we had the best time shooting around campus. She is a girl after my own heart- an English major- so we started out at the English building, which is one of the prettiest as well. :) I had the best time shooting with Kinsey and love so many of the images! Congratulations Kinsey!

Ryan + Ashley • Engagement at Texas Tech
PHOTOGRAPHYCommentI loved shooting Ryan and Ashley's engagement session where it all began for them- at Texas Tech! These two live in Houston now and made a weekend of it- visiting their old stomping grounds and getting some engagement photos taken. We had a gorgeous Lubbock morning to shoot and finished their session up at the place where they first met- and most anyone who went to Tech knows- Chimy's. Thanks, y'all, for a great session and congrats!

CommentOh how I love a winter wedding. (Maybe it's because I had one myself.) There are unique circumstances to getting married in the winter- the cold, the holidays, and daylight savings time- but getting to have a lit fireplace at your reception and all of the beautiful deep colors you can use is so worth it!
Tyler and Mary Kate were wed at First Baptist Church here in Lubbock and their reception was at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion on the Texas Tech campus. Everything was perfectly orchestrated, and these two were so much fun to work with. I had *cough* several favorites, so I hope you don't mind scrolling a bit!
Patrick + Cody • Engagement • Lubbock, TX
2 CommentsI have yet another gorgeous and fun couple for you today! This is Patrick and Cody, and they are just awesome. I had such a fun time walking around and talking with them- and we had a beautiful day to do it! Here are some of my favorites from their session. We started out the shoot in that beautiful golden light of November:
These two had their first date at Gardski's so I suggested we stop by there for sentimental reasons.
Way to make an alley look awesome, you two! Congrats!

4 CommentsI'm super pumped to share this Engagement Session with you all- Jeff + JoAnna are such a fun couple. I can't wait for their wedding next spring! We had a beautiful Saturday to shoot- and began at Texas Tech, amidst the tailgaters. :) These two really do just go together- plus I love JoAnna's style. Enjoy!
lance + taleigh • wedding • lubbock, tx
3 CommentsLance and Taleigh were married at the newly-remodled Merket Alumni Center on the Texas Tech campus. It was a beautiful, crisp October day and there was so much to photograph! From the get-go, I have appreciated Taleigh's intentionality and thoughtfulness in the planning of her wedding day. It was so neat to see it all fall into place- and to see she and Lance as husband and wife! I've been ogling over these images for the past week, and now it's time to show them to my faithful blog readers- thankfully, Lance and Taleigh sent me a little post-wedding feedback from their honeymoon in Costa Rica! (I told you I have AWESOME couples!)
Lance and Taleigh both exchanged notes to each other before the ceremony- and each was so sentimental and sweet. Taleigh started to laugh as she read Lance's note, because he'd written, "I have no doubt that this will not work!"- haha, he had a LOT on his mind that day. It made for a refreshing laugh in the midst of all the preparation.
Lots of gorgeous autumn-inspired florals from Market Street.
I love this moment between Taleigh and her mom.
Taleigh had seen Monica's wedding on my blog and loved the idea of giving her dad a gift before the wedding. She gave him a handkerchief and something I thought was awesome and funny...her Discover card!
Lance and Taleigh didn't want to "see" each other before- but they did get to talk to each other!
Hello October.
Something I didn't know till this wedding- when you get married at the Merket, you get a brick in the courtyard!
Taleigh's Mom and sisters put a lot of time and effort into the centerpieces at the reception. They were a perfect mix of Taleigh's vintage flair and Lance's love for hunting. So pretty!
Taleigh's advice to future brides: Enjoy it! Let everyone else take care of everything. Don't sweat the small stuff! Don't forget to have fun with your wedding party and guests!
I totally agree.
Thanks so much, you guys! Congratulations!
doug + megan • engagement • lubbock, tx
1 CommentDoug and Megan traveled in from their current city of Dallas to do their engagement shoot at their alma mater- Texas Tech! We had such a beautiful day (although I still got a sunburn...never fails!). I enjoyed getting to hear their love story- apparently Megan was working as an intern at the accounting firm where Doug was an associate. Doug was assigned to help with Megan's first audit and was less than friendly! By the time that Megan's internship was over, though, their friendship was blossoming and would soon become a romantic relationship. These two are so happy and comfortable together. Thanks guys for a great session!
Doug + Megan are huge TTU Football fans (they are season ticket holders), and Doug's "Joe's Pizza" shirt has attended every game with them in the past few years!
travis, mandy, and lois • lubbock, tx
2 CommentsI met Travis and Mandy when they first moved to Lubbock (which was when we first moved to Lubbock). They just been married recently (as had we) and it was fun to meet some other newlyweds. They're making a big move to Houston, and wanted to commemorate their time at Texas Tech with a photoshoot while Mandy's Mom, Lois, was in from Virginia. So we made it happen! I'm sad to see them go, but I'm glad they are getting to embark on a new adventure together. Best of luck, guys!
julie • texas tech grad • lubbock, texas
1 CommentI loved meeting Julie and her parents. They are celebrating a big accomplishment- Julie is graduating with her doctorate this month! She's worked so hard to get to this point, and I loved that she chose to do a photoshoot to commemorate it. We shot a few images with her parents, and then strolled around the Tech campus to capture her last days as a student here. Thanks for a great shoot Julie!
LOVE her shoes!
leslie • texas tech senior • lubbock, texas
4 CommentsI knew from the get-go that this would be a fun session. Leslie's up-for-anything personality and constant laughter are the perfect ingredients to making the pictures I love to make! This girl is not only an educated event designer, she is also pretty adventurous! She'll be living in New Zealand pretty soon- which makes me totally jealous. Thanks so much for a great session, Leslie- and congrats on your graduation!
I couldn't resist the primary-color combo when we came across this construction work site. Fortunately or unfortunately, Leslie's "animal magnetism" was at work as well. It made for some hilarious moments.
