Marissa is a senior at Lubbock High School and I was honored to shoot her senior portraits on one very windy West Texas day. Thankfully, we were able to really embrace the wind- and got some great images doing so.

It's a life-lesson I've been learning- embracing the wind…the wind will always be there (literally and figuratively)…you can either embrace it and let it take you where it will, or try to hold your ground and remain where you always have been.

Marissa, keep embracing the wind! You've got so many wonderful places to go!

travis • coronado high school senior • lubbock, tx

I had such a great time with Travis! He was totally laid-back and easy to work with. We began his session at the Rawls Golf Course where Travis has spent at least half his life (joking, but halfway serious!), and then headed over to Coronado to capture him in his Bell Crew stuff. For those of you who don't know, Bell Crew is an exclusive position for three Seniors. They must interview and audition for the role, and they are in charge of the large bell that Coronado has at every football game. When a touchdown is scored, the bell is rung, and the Bell Crew run the CHS banners up and down the field. Pretty cool!
